Dave's Daily Dirt: North Texas Pro Wrestling Breakdown
By DaveBeltzer•May 23, 2026
North Texas Pro Wrestling is currently suffering from a severe case of booking vertigo. In my decades of covering the squared circle, I have rarely seen a promotion so eager to devalue their championships as I saw tonight. When every match results in a title change, the belts cease to be symbols of excellence and become mere props for a glorified game of musical chairs. From a work-rate perspective, the talent is capable, but the lack of long-term psychology is glaring. Vince Mays shows the most promise as a legitimate Heavyweight, but he needs a sustained program to prove his worth. Rising: Vince Mays, who at least looks like he belongs in a main event. Falling: The North Texas Pro Wrestling booking committee, whose chaotic title management is rapidly eroding the federation’s prestige. If the road to the future looks like this, the map needs to be thrown in the trash.
